I just watched this absolutely fascinating documentary.

Have a gander (but skip the pre-title stuff. It really begins at around 12 minutes in. And thanks, L):

UPDATE: I’d imagine that the extremity of some of that might put you off (or interest the shit out of you; whatevs). Part two is also interesting but goes off a bit later, so try Part Three: Moving Forward. It’s much straighter but really very interesting (thanks, M):
documentary? propaganda! lol
i like zeitgeist addendum which is about money, basically http://youtu.be/EewGMBOB4Gg
theres also zeitgeist: moving forward, which i havent seen yet.
also very interesting i thought, and a must-see for anyone in advertising: the century of the self (originally a bbc doc, but, as if by magic, available on youtube) http://youtu.be/IyPzGUsYyKM
Propaganda comes in many guises…
“So here’s the plan guys. We’re going to detonate explosives inside the WTC just after the planes have hit. We’ll do it in full view of cameras because we’re risktakers that way. Who’ll plant the tonnes of explosives needed? Oh, we’ll just get a few hundred of our agents to do it. None of them will have any trouble smuggling it in and none of them will mind killing their countrymen if we tell them to do it. We’ll also destroy WTC7 with explosives at the same time even though a plane hasn’t hit it. We can’t afford another plane and no one will notice anyway. Meanwhile, we’ll attack the Pentagon with a missile and pretend it was hit by a plane full of people. The real plane full of people? Well, we will have to land it in a secret location and kill all the people on board. It’s just feels more exciting to do it that way. We’ll do the same with another plane and pretend it landed in a field. That’s just for fun. And here’s the genius bit: we’ll pretend almost all of the men behind the attacks are Saudi Arabian — the perfect pretext for an attack on Afghanistan and Iraq. Then after that we’ll pretend the war on Iraq is about WMD. If we can’t find any WMD we wouldn’t dream of planting some, because that would be dishonest.”
It doesn’t really work, does it?
No, not really.
Still fun to watch, though.
just watched the first minutes of the third sequel. love it! gotta dash now. stress! thank god im not pregnant! lol
i dont know whats it with this 9/11 conspiracy stuff. no one will ever know the ‘truth’ about it. and there are many different narratives out there. fact is, ive seen it all in the media and will therefore never know what happened, except that thousands of people died. which is horrible enough. i find other aspects of the videos way more interesting. but thats just me. another point though is wondering why and how conspiracy theories come into existence and why the issue of trust is quite important in this context.

Who would be able to really pull this off. I mean… really?
