And Man U lost to Wigan and didn’t even get to the cup final to lose to Birmingham. And Chelsea only beat Wigan with two offside goals and also didn’t get to the cup final.

Sorry, I wasn’t splitting hairs; I just don’t know much about Google Labs (except that my friend Alfred works there. Hi Alfred!).
He says their brief is only to do things which are fucking cool (or something like that), so I think most of us would jump at the chance to grab a bit of that (except me; I love my current job).
But whether it’s another sign pointing to the brain drain or not…
Yes, probably.
Advertising has lost another fine mind to something more attractive. Every time that happens, we all slump a little bit, and I can’t see anyone going in the other direction…
