I think the performances are great, the gag is pretty funny, and the introduction of the product entirely acceptable.
I also think it has the first PPG* I’ve seen in years that actually made me smile.
*Post-pack gag.
By the way, I removed yesterday’s post because, on reflection, it was a bit personal. I still disagree with what Mr Y said, but I think I’ll leave it there.
Where’s the other 359 degrees Ben?
Shouldn’t the headless horse be saying ‘I am the headless horse, man’? Having the man saying it makes no sense.
Oh, a headless horse can’t talk.
Faris might be off limits, but any thoughts on the new born again Bogusky?

@ Blah: That ad is interesting but it’s a bit too long and I’m not sure why an ad that wants to make the world a better place shows the bears pouring their Coke into the sea. Why not an icy sink?
Good points, though.
Agree with all that but it’s also a little bit like Godfather III where Don Corleone tries to make the family legitimate and atone for past sins.
Oh. It’s a shame you deleted the post.
Yes, it was a bit personal.
But when a man propagates himself and his manufactured image across the web, then he is making it personal.
And when what he says is threatening your livelihood, or at the least influencing the direction of the industry you love, he opens himself up to criticism.
I thought it was a brave post, and I’m sad it has been removed. I’d like him to remove his video. But he won’t.
This is how they win. They act like twats and then get all upset if you call them twats.
I don’t know if he was upset. I never heard from him.
I think much of the criticism was valid but it was hard to separate attacks on the opinions from attacks on the person. You might say that they were one and the same, but I’m not so sure.
Anyway, we all have our memories of the last few days to dip into if we wish…
I missed it – what happened I was out all day – I guess I will never know.
While I agree that sometimes it’s hard to separate the personal attacks from the ones on his opinion, why is it that whenever I see someone talking utter bullshit and propagating it, they always dress/look a certain way? Always the same clothes, always the same bullshit. Yes it’s a stereotype of the “cool and trendy digital creative” but there’s a reason they dress that way. They distract from their bullshit by dressing trendy and making less confident/intelligent people feel insecure. Making them eat up all his bullshit with a silver spoon. Guess that’s why he has a job. He managed to impress some suit with his trendiness. He’s the perfect example of De Bono’s quote: “There are lots of people calling themselves creative who are merely stylists.”
I’ll leave it at that.
There’s the reason THEY dress that way?
I resent this stereotype. I’m a digital creative and I haven’t bought any new clothes since 2003!
Do you spread bullshit? If not, you’re probably not one of the stereotyped digi-creatives.
I think it’s planners. Not creatives. Let’s be fooled into thinking FY is a creative.
I thought we were all the same. Are we not?
