My friend’s app
Posted in Uncategorized
My friend and fellow creative person, Dan Hubert, has created an app for your parking pleasure.
As someone who has conceived and created an app, I can say that doing so is a bit of an arse to say the least.
So hats off to Dan for making parking your car a hell of a lot easier.
You can thank him by downloading his little bundle of joy.
nice idea.
I’ve got a brilliant idea for an app. It’s a corker but I’m too lazy to do it.
Ben, can I ask how you or your friend went about it and how much it costs to make an app?
I asked on here for someone to help and received a couple of wonderful offers (that I hope were repaid by the publicity the app received).
I’ve no idea how it was made or how much it cost, but it seemed to take about a month and cost Water Water Everywhere absolutely nothing.
I’ll ask Dan to comment on here about his.
Here’s a plug for an app you may like Ben. It’s called byPost. Have you got it already?
You take a photo on your iPhone. Then the app turns it into a postcard and posts it to the desired address with your personalised ‘wish you were hot, weather is here’ style message.
No need to find postcards or stamps when you are on holiday anymore. Also does themes for birthdays, get well soon etc.
I don’t use many apps but this one is great. No?
(not on commission or owt – just sayin’)
Hi Caroline
It’s a hard question to answer really as it depends on how complex the app is. A basic app could take up to a month to build including design and dev.
A complex app like Yellow Line can take up to six months. There are loads of developers out there. Try on freelancers.net where day rates vary between £350 to £500.
So just times the day rate by the time and you’ve got a rough price.
Good luck!
