If you changed the ‘landmark education’ logo and replaced it with something about christianity, that site would still work.

@ Anonymouse: yes, the site is kind of shit and perversely doesn’t really reflect the organisation behind it.
Which is very unlike Christianity (no offence to Christians).
As I was listening to this, I was deeply moved and thought, yes, this is one of the speeches my kids should hear when they’re big enough to get it,
and then I read about David Foster Wallace and how he suffered from depression and eventually hanged himself,
and then I also wondered how that adds various layers to the above speech –
I guess maybe even reinforces its message in some weird way.

mindfulness only works if you’re head is clear i think. but it is a lovely reminder of seeing the bright side of life, and having gratitude, and most of all not hating other people. it takes more energy to be angry than to chill.
