i’m old enough to remember when ILM and digital domain were kicking ass in the USA ad world. back then that required serious capital outlay in terms of primitive computers etc, like editing used to be. and then it became a commodity. like photo-retouching. Ang Lee isn’t a commodity though. maybe the problem is that you have to be an expert to differentiate one from the other. and not enough people can.
