Depressing anti-gun ad

But it was posted in December 2012.
So, evidently, the number of fucks given was roughly zero.
And how many more?
About 15,000 since then, including this guy.
Hashtag monumental fuckwittage, as the verbose kids might say.
This appeared at the end of the clip, as a related video:

Ignoring the spiteful tone and questionable soundtrack, it does raise a point.
And although I know not everyone agrees with the argument (that films/games affect our real-world behaviour), I do think there’s some validity to it.
A number of these actors are “action movie stars”, using guns to get the job done, save the day, save the girl, rid the world of bad guys, and look sexy-as-hell firing off round after round.
So perhaps a more powerful stand for them to take would be to refuse to be a part of this continuing gun glorification culture?
But, as they say, a principle isn’t really a principle until it costs you something, right?
That is a good point.
The reduction of smoking in movies must have gone some way to making it less appealing, so why would the same not apply to guns.
BTW, I shot a handgun in an LA range last year (wanted to see what it was really like) and it was kind of fun, but also a bit scary, and I haven’t been back.
