you’re right mark. that’s probably why it doesn’t feel as out-there as it’s predecessors.
now we all get the format, we feel we could have written this ad ourselves.
so it loses something.
objectively, it’s still very good though.
The bar was set very high. Trying to measure up to those standards is always going to be tricky (see Old Spice etc.).
…don’t get me wrong, I would’ve loved to have done it. V.G. casting.
