Wow. And those trucks are REVERSING… I want to believe there was next to no post production on this… But I am drunk after four hours on the lager.

Happily for the production company, Mr Van Damme’s wardrobe requirements seem fairly meagre. Assuming that’s the double denim he managed to nick from the Coors shoot…
Seemed a bit of a shame they had to add the copy line explaining the idea.
Yeah. But this is fake. So its not really a true product demo, like boiling a baby chicken in one shot for Union Carbide heat resistant thermos.
Is it? I feel vary naive this week. Is Sainsbury’s real/fake? Is this one real/fake?

Apparently it’s real:
“The stunt was captured in one take with no breaks, following three days of rehearsal by the production team, so the final version could be captured within a 15 minute window when the morning light was right. It was filmed on a deserted airfield in Spain. “When I saw the storyboard, I thought it looked amazing,” Van Damme apparently commented while on the set. “
In what way is it fake?
I’m aware that there was safety equipment used such as harnesses which where removed in post production, but the trucks still performed in a true manner no?
I like it, but the VO is not right: it’s all metaphor until he talks about what he’s about to do. Just show it.

Sorry to say but its green screened. You can tell if you look closely at his foot on the mirror as it pans out. Its not properly on there as it would be should he be doing the splits for real. And come on for fuck’s sake…one slip and he’d be under a giant lorry. No one is going to a. do that b. get the insurance.
