A forgettable nudge rather than an all-gun-blazing celebration.
I hope this isn’t the only one they’ll be running.
After the cash they spunked on write the future maybe they’re going for a more muted approach this year…
21 day shoot blockbuster from Mr Ledwidge is currently occupying every Flame suite in town….but I thought *everyone* knew that.
Bit long and execution is a bit meh but it does the same idea with a product benefit.
Which is nice for 2014.
I like the metronome sound – it creates suspense and anticipation.
I’m not a fan but I think football is about passion (and the world cup is in Braaaaazil!) while this is too… gladiator-war-American football feel…
And yet I am sure people will find it nice…
It’s amazing. It makes 74 seconds feel like four minutes.
I like that.
It’s still early doors. Slow burn.
That said, I think they may need a crowbar to make ‘Risk everything’ properly meaningful in a football context…
The metronome is a nod to Point Blank.
It’s still dull.
Its a rip of the 60’s classic Boorman film Point Blank. Watch from 24 secs in.
We ripped it off for this little Playstation gameplay ad about 10 yrs ago.
The problem with the Nike and our PS ad (which, incidentally was our first foreign shoot, I still taste Czech absinthe when I watch it) is that it builds to nothing. Whereas in the movie it makes sense as it builds the tension to the point Lee Marvin has to take revenge against the man who screwed him over and screwed his woman.
BTW, Id like to point out that I aint saying my PS ad is better than the Nike ad or naffink, cos it aint, not by a long shot. Just saying it builds to a fizzle.
The Nike ad is clearly a teaser, you silly sausages.
