better late than never
Here’s a post I meant to do last year:
I cycled past this poster last summer and thought it was the best one I’d seen in ages:
So I went back a couple of days later intending to photograph it, but alas it was gone.
Earlier this year it won a Gold at Creative Circle, but I still didn’t get round to getting hold of a shot of it for the blog.
But last week I began a freelance ‘stint’ at 4 Creative and, even more conveniently, I was placed at the desk next to Molly Manners (her real name), the creative behind R eye P.
So there it is: the best poster of last year.
While I’m here, I’d like to direct you towards a couple of excellent promos, also from 2011:
Love Lost by Temper Trap, shot by the always brilliant Dougal Wilson.
And click here for the uncensored version of Blind Faith by Chase and Status, directed by the also always brilliant Daniel Wolfe.
Errr what.
Love Lost was one of my favourite things of last year. excellent.
Thanks for reminding me.
not that many care but Dougal won a pencil with ‘Love Lost’.
Prove that you don’t need Hollywood effects to win gold.
OK, there were fireworks.
What is RIP an ad for? Or am I an idiot?
It was for the end of Big Brother.
Not knowing that doesn’t make you an idiot, but I’m pretty certain a foreign jury (D&AD, Cannes etc.) would have no clue.
If you think about it, and I just did, not knowing this was an ad for the end of Big Brother makes me the opposite of an idiot. Type of thing.
Know what I call Big Brother? That’s right. Big Bastards! HA ha ha ha ha.
Visual pun. Good though
But not as good as ENDS FRI for Friends.
6/10. S’alright innit. Stop sucking up to your new agency…
Only genuine opinions here, I’m afraid.
If the CC Gold jury liked it that much, it’s definitely not 6/10.
Not bad at all.
But ‘e-n-d-s-f-r-i’ for friends knocks it into a cocked hat.
Great frigging poster. Bit like Paul Rand’s I-B-M poster but still loving loving loving it http://bit.ly/XK2WX
