I mean awesome in the slightly post-modern way that Brits use it, rather than the way Jack Black uses it as some kind of desperate indication of a wacky personality, but with no hint of irony.
Skittles Brand Book.
Very, very good in a way that makes me question my life choices.
Interestingly, Skittles use awesome in the Jack Black way.
Does that now make it shit?
if it wont win loads of awards i dont know what the hell is going on.
is it awesome?
What category will it win next year?
do we need to invent a category for it to win something?
best internal comms award?
Ben, do you think the brand manager at Skittles is a total fucking loon?
I hope so.
If by awesome you mean “is a total rip off of the Monty Python Papperbok which came out at least 30 years ago and just goes to show backward our godforsaken industry is” then yeah.
Brilliant. I tried to give their brand guidelines a D&AD for writing a couple of years ago, but couldn’t win over enough of the other jurors. I must try to be more awesome.
