They say you should never meet your heroes. They are so wrong. When I was lucky enough to join AMV, the department had Richard Foster, Tim Riley, Nick Worthington, Nigel Roberts and Mary. As a writer, it had the most marked effect on my career. To be surrounded by 5 of the best writers ever was at once scary, thrilling and ultimately inspiring.
